Generators
Thermoelectric Generator
This is the first generator accessible in Electrodynamics. It converts heat (lava, fire, hot blocks) into electricity at 120 V.
- Place it adjacent to a heat source (lava below or on the sides)
- The greater the temperature difference, the higher the output
- Connect a cable to its output (grey port)
Optimization
Surround the generator with lava on multiple sides to maximize production. Use source lava (not flowing) for stable output.
Solar Panel
Produces electricity at 120 V during the day. Zero production at night and reduced in cloudy weather. Simple to install, ideal for powering small machines.
Wind Turbine
Produces electricity continuously depending on wind speed. Production varies with altitude and environment. Requires clear space around it.
Steam Turbines (Nuclear Science)
The steam turbines from Nuclear Science are the most powerful generators. They produce between 120 V and 960 V depending on the steam temperature. See the dedicated page for details.
Radioisotope Generator (Nuclear Science)
The radioisotope generator from Nuclear Science produces electricity from radioactive decay. Simple and compact, ideal at the start of a nuclear playthrough.
